With a simple ballpoint pen, Mani draws an entire new world with its imaginary characters, organic machines and enigmatic activities. This artistic statement of freedom puts the artist at the center of world creation whilst suggesting the possibility of parallel civilizations.
Mani's universe mesmerizes us by the richness of details in every piece, a deep sense of poetry and playfulness that directly talks to the child’s part in every spectator. The rigor of compositions and the purity of black and white drawings are the counterpoints that make his art so powerful.
Mani (b. 1985 in Dijon) lives and works in Lyon. He is a self taught artist who also creates short films and artistic videos. He has been exhibited in France and Belgium since 2008 and for the first time in the UK with >french art studio in 2014.
